Who founded EI?
Emmanuel International was founded by George Middleton, who was an SIM missionary in Ethiopia.
How long has EI existed?
Emmanuel was founded in 1975. In September 2010, we will be celebrating our 35th anniversary.
How many people do you help each year?
Last year we helped over 112,000 people. In the past five years we have helped to transform over 1 million lives. Click this link to see our statistics from 2008.
Where do you work?
Right now EI has projects running in 8 different countries: Brazil, Haiti, Malawi, the Philippines, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.

Do I have to raise support?
Yes, EI personnel are required to assist in raising some or all of their financial support. Financial support levels vary depending on some different variables (ie. single, married, family, project country, etc.). For more information on support levels, please call our office at 905-640-2111 or e-mail our Human Resources Coordinator at personnel@e-i.org.
Do I need any training?
Yes, all EI personnel will go through our training school which will be held at our office in Canada.
